Our Mission

In the last three years the appearance of Mill Creek on the internet has led to unprecedented levels of human use. I have counted as many as 400 people at the waterfall in Left Hand. Every week, dozens of dogs ‘do their duty’ by the creek.

This website is an attempt to make people aware of the situation, provide them with information they might need to consider alternatives to the current state of affairs, a place to post their own ideas and compare them with others’, and a forum to discuss all of the above. Participation in this exercise is open to everyone. I heartily invite you to post comments, long or short, at the bottom of this page. There is also a Facebook page, which I urge you to “like” at the box on the lower right side of this page.

When the website has done its job, I hope to host a brainstorming session, develop a menu of (viable) alternatives, and present the options to the appropriate entities in hopes that short-term and long-term can be discussed, rated, and enacted.

The Save Mill Creek website contains this introduction, copies of pertinent reports, plans, documents, etc., a “Strategic Concepts” section where you will be able to present your own ‘big picture’ for Mill Creek, and a Comments section. Please be nice.

The website will not be used for fundraising. Personal information such as e-mail and phone numbers will only be used with permission and will not be shared with anyone.
